Reaching out to modern consumers nowadays means delivering products and services that are on par with the standards of tech-savvy and socially-driven customers. This scenario is urging businesses to revamp their old digital business strategy in favor of a plan that uses tech innovation like business management software to improve products, service deliveries and ultimately working towards digital transformation for their business.

To date, there are a handful of companies that are changing the game of the B2B industry by investing in on-cloud business management systems and other forms of digital innovation. Do you know what these companies are? Read on to find out which are the top players driving B2B digital transformation:

Amazon

Amazon Web Services (AWS) tops our list of digital leaders for three reasons.

Firstly, it has an impressive annual revenue turnout. AWS generated $25.7 billion in revenue in 2018, a 47% increase from 2017. The numbers reported by AWS is more significant than QualComm’s annual revenue in 2018 ($22.7B). In Q4 of 2018, Amazon’s cloud computing business reported $7.43 billion in revenue, which is 45.3% higher than its revenue in the same quarter of the previous year.

Secondly, it is cost-effective. AWS’s products and services have given smaller companies the opportunity to grow and scale without the constraints of the upfront costs of cloud computing products and services. This has resulted in a surge in the on-demand capacity of its products and businesses today only need to worry about AWS cost optimization. This has been a massive boon to companies worldwide

Finally, AWS goes beyond embracing new technologies. The company is known for its outstanding customer service and fostering long-term relationships with clients to outperform its competitors. This trend is obviously catching on as smaller companies are following suit – more B2B companies are moving towards customer-centric services and relationship-building.

AWS’ clients include Capital One, Expedia, General Electric and Airbnb.

Oracle

ORCL, more popularly known as the Oracle Corporation, was hailed as the third highest-grossing tech company in 2018. The company is known for making significant investments – and contributions – in maximizing the use of cloud technology for businesses.

Among the more prominent cloud-based solutions provided by ORCL to businesses is Oracle CX, a platform that helps companies build their B2B ecommerce site. This solution allows companies to generate more sales online by significantly improving customers’ online buying experience.

In addition, this California-based data management systems provider is also determined to improve on-premise databases by working alongside Microsoft Corporation. According to ORCL Co-Chief Executive Officer Safra Catz, the agreement between the two companies is meant to help the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and Microsoft Azure “accelerate the transition from on-premise databases to the Autonomous Database service.”

Microsoft

Microsoft’s decision to launch the cloud computing platform Microsoft Azure in 2010 proved to be a smart move as the latter is currently the primary revenue generator of the company. Among the notable brands in Microsoft’s Azure’s client base is Volkswagen, a company that aims to transform itself into a digital services-driven company.

Last year, Volkswagen announced with Microsoft Azure to develop Volkswagen Automotive Cloud. The automotive cloud aims to integrate third-party applications into a unified platform. Once launched, this new platform will enable a seamless digital experience for drivers from the moment they enter, use, and leave their vehicles.

IBM

It’s little surprise that despite having sold its renowned line of personal computers to Lenovo, IBM is still known today as one of the most respected brands in the tech industry. At present, the company is actively pursuing innovation by investing in modern technology from data and AI to IoT and blockchain.

One of its more notable solutions for B2B organizations is the IBM Sterling B2B Integrator, a cloud-based platform that “helps companies integrate all their complex B2B/EDI processes across partner communities in a single gateway”.

Google

With an annual revenue of $8 billion and big brands like Bloomberg, Ticketmaster, Deloitte and eBay as its clientele, the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is undoubtedly doing well in the industry. In fact, it is among the top-performing cloud service providers today.

Determined to level the playing field with its competitors, the GCP is leveraging machine learning and Artificial Intelligence (AI) as one of its primary selling points.

One of its more well-known products in the B2B community is Document AI, a cloud-based platform that helps businesses efficiently analyze and organize documents through machine learning. It also accurately classifies information, automates tasks and business processes, and streamlines invoicing and expense management.

To say that technology is making a huge impact in the business realm is an understatement. As we speak, tech innovations like cloud technology are dominating the contemporary business landscape.
