In a bid to expand its presence in India, Deskera CEO, Shashank Dixit met with Shri Nara Lokesh, Minister for IT&C, Panchayati Raj, and Rural Development, Andhra Pradesh on Feb 09, 2018. As part of the meeting, the two leaders agreed upon setting up a cloud center in Vizag with an initial strength of 500 people.

Deskera is expanding its footprint into the tier 2 cities in India and is adding people to its skilled team. The company is keen on building a robust infrastructure in these local markets. Deskera plans to invest Rs 400 crore in India in the next few years.

“Andhra Pradesh is very strategically located. Most of the important countries like Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, New Zealand, and Australia are easily accessible from here. Additionally, the state has a skilled workforce of software professionals. Almost one-fourth of the software professionals in the US are from here,” said Shashank Dixit, CEO, Deskera.
