As an Account Executive at Deskera, you will work in a fast-paced and fluid business environment, targeting small to medium-sized companies. The best Account Executives are hunters, capable of creating their own activity in the field by making daily sales calls, networking, building relationships and identifying sales opportunities. A strong predictor of success for an Account Executive is someone who incorporates a consultative approach to their sales technique, has exceptionally good prospecting skills, the ability to be persistent, and has a passion for our product!
Our corporate sales office is based in Boston, MA; however, we are looking for Account Executives across New England! This is an outside sales role with one day in the office for meetings.
Reports To: Director of SalesResponsibilities:
- Determine prospective customers’ needs for Accounting, Human Resources, CRM services.
- Prepare and present proposals and provide appropriate follow-up throughout the sales process.
- Work directly with internal departments to ensure the client has a smooth transition to Deskera.
- Maintain contact with existing customers to determine needs for additional services.
- Using initiative, develop prospects through cold calling, referrals, professional and personal contacts and other sources.
- Attend trade shows, conferences and other events to promote Deskera services.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record
- Current auto insurance
- Reliable vehicle per transportation needs of the market
- Demonstrated ability to meet and/or exceed assigned sales targets
- Strong networking and negotiation skills
- 2-4 years of outside sales and/or B2B sales experience (preferred)
- Efficient in sales funnel management; previous experience in CRM systems
- Ability to succeed in a competitive environment
- Critical thinking and decision-making skills required in order to handle objections and unexpected situations that may arise throughout the sales cycle
- Customer service orientation - the client ALWAYS comes first!
- Strong presentation skills to effectively represent Deskera and allow the client to visualize the benefits of our services
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong listening skills to probe further into clients’ needs and expectations
